Michelle joined Hunton & Williams in Richmond, Virginia in 1998, serving as a Paralegal on its toxic tort litigation team involved in the defense of asbestos, silica and a variety of other toxic tort claims. Her responsibilities focused on factual investigation and development, records collection, written discovery, document collection, review and production, and assisting attorneys in virtually all aspects of fact and expert witness development and preparation for hearings and trials. She served as lead paralegal on a large, multi-plaintiff toxic tort case, assisting in a three-day evidentiary Daubert hearing and ultimately serving as sole trial paralegal in month-long jury trial in an Arkansas state court. Michelle has extensive experience in the design and implementation of various types of databases, including document management databases and case management systems. In addition to her background in toxic torts, Michelle also has substantial experience in commercial litigation for a variety of clients.
Michelle joined Moran Reeves & Conn PC in 2004, departing in 2007 for a corporate position in Circuit City’s legal department working on various complex commercial litigation matters, where in addition to supporting litigation attorneys in the management of open matters and responding to document and witness subpoenas, she served as key conduit to outside counsel on discovery issues and prepared field witnesses for appearances in response to subpoenas and in resolving Weights & Measures issues. She returned to Moran Reeves & Conn PC in 2009, where her focus is the management of complex toxic tort cases, including document collections and productions and the preparation of discovery responses, as well as serving as trial paralegal in a variety of commercial, construction and other litigation.
Michelle is a member of the Richmond Paralegal Association.
