After graduating in the top 10% of his class from the University of Richmond School of Law in 2000, Mr. Schneider served as a law clerk to the Honorable James P. Jones, United States District Court for the Western District of Virginia. Since entering private practice in 2001, Mr. Schneider's practice has included all aspects of civil litigation, both state and federal, at the trial and appellate levels. His practice has focused on the defense of transportation companies, complex toxic tort, and product liability litigation. A representative list of his diverse clients includes the following:

  • a trucking company for whom Mr. Schneider serves as national counsel in interstate motor carrier accident litigation.
  • a fertilizer manufacturer against claims from over 900 plaintiffs: (1) stemming from alleged violations of various federal and state environmental statutes; and (2) asserting product liability for personal injuries resulting from air and groundwater contamination.
  • a national energy wholesale and supply corporation in appeal to the Supreme Court of Virginia resulting from allegations of defamation of an individual's professional reputation.
  • a national fertilizer manufacturer against product liability claims stemming from alleged common law and state statutory violations regarding arsenic poisoning.
  • a local contracting company in catastrophic personal injury case.
  • a national marketing company against suit to compel arbitration.
  • a national title insurance company in complex commercial contract dispute.
  • a national charitable organization in appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in complex personal injury case.
  • a national historic foundation in contract, premises liability, and personal injury suits.
  • various companies against claims alleging mild traumatic brain injury/head trauma.
  • a national construction company against thousands of claims of asbestos exposure.
  • a software manufacturer in commercial dispute.
  • a Canadian food processor in international contract dispute.
  • various automobile manufacturers against claims of product liability.

As a member of both the Virginia and Georgia bars, Mr. Schneider is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of both states, as well as the United States Courts of Appeals for the Third, Fourth, and Eleventh Circuits. Prior to joining Moran Reeves & Conn PC, Mr. Schneider practiced with Watson Spence LLP in Albany, Georgia. Prior to that, Mr. Schneider was an associate at Hunton & Williams LLP in Richmond.
